SCAM WARNING – PXN Foundation Announcement 23-3-2019

It has come to light recently that some long-standing questions that the PCN/PXN community has had for a very long time, years, in fact, have been answered. The main question that comes to mind most often is, “what happened to the original scammer/developer of PCN?” Firstly, throughout the time since The PXN Foundation, and the previous 2 PCN teams, the original developer for PCN was nowhere to be seen. No contact with previous teams, and no public appearances. This changed however at 12:00 noon AEST 19th of March 2019. The PXN Foundation was contacted through our Official Telegram Channel by an individual claiming to be the original PCN scammer going by the alias John Matthews. We say alias because we have no proof that this is his real name. There is evidence on Bitcointalk of a name ‘Ben’ and also accusations of this individual being charged with FRAUD by an Australian Court of Law. The uncertainty of his real name and the accusations against him do not give us confidence that he has changed his ways.

Due to evidence that we deem to be trustworthy, The PXN Foundation does believe that this individual is the original PCN scammer. However, we know that he is NOT a threat to the PCN Blockchain. During the conversation, the PCN/PXN communities best interests were not his main focus, along with some other harsh words he made it clear that he intends to ‘take back what is his regardless of what the PCN/PXN community thinks’. The PXN Foundation believes it is our duty to keep the PCN/PXN community informed and would like to publicly state that we have nothing to do with this individual in any capacity.

The PXN Foundation want to make something very clear, this individual is not able to take control of any part of the PCN blockchain, period. Due to the loyal PCN/PXN community, the most recently released PXN Foundation-built PCN qt wallet has created a clear consensus of PXN Foundation nodes on the PCN blockchain, this also includes all PCN Exchanges as well. The only other option for him would be a fork from PCN to a new coin which he has already started working on. This new coin is called Peepcoin 2.0 (PP2) and it would be a SWAP as he has disclosed details of a pre-mine of PP2. The PXN Foundation must remind the community that this individual was the original developer for PCN and has scammed a lot of people before disappearing for 3 years. Is this someone you would trust with his new project? Is this someone you would willingly hand over your PCN and trust that he would have your best interests? The PXN Foundation strongly agrees that he is trying to scam the community again for personal gain.

We believe that he is trying to take advantage of the PCN/PXN community by swapping the communities PCN to his PP2 coin, and then he will dump PCN on the market, devaluing your investments. Seeing as he is unable to change/alter or take control of what used to be his, he will instead try to destroy the value of PCN. We have to ask that the PCN/PXN community near and far, rally together to stop this individual from attempting any such actions and spread the word that “The Peepcoin 2.0 (PP2) project is being run by the original scam developer for PCN – BEWARE”. We ask that community members support each other by informing those who do not read this announcement and instead need to be informed via word of mouth by fellow community members. We hope that this individual does not get a single PCN coin for his hard efforts as the last time it was the investors of PCN that were far worse off after dealing with this individual.

Furthermore, we have been put in a position that requires us to rethink our strategy moving forward with the imminent PCN – PXN swap. To protect the communities investments, and to hinder his attempts at participating in the swap procedure we will be delaying the PCN – PXN swap until we have confidence that this individuals influence on our new blockchain and coin will be minimal. We are currently working on a patch for the most recent wallet version (1.0.4) which will prohibit old nodes from interacting with the newest wallet version. This will see that any nodes still running the oldest version of the wallets blocked, and unable to transact with the newest version of the wallet, 1.0.4. This means that any transactions being broadcasted from suspicious old wallet versions will not be able to transfer PCN coins to exchange wallets and will be forced to update to the newest wallet version 1.0.4. This will help secure the PCN blockchain further and increase the percentage of consensus for PXN 1.0.4 wallets. We expect to have the wallet patch out within the next coming days. Once the wallet patch is available, we ask that all users install the wallet patch as per the provided instructions.

We repeat.

Original scam developer for PCN is now active.

– Going by the name John Matthews in Telegram, and goldman/cryptopow in Discord

– The images that he has provided as evidence of identity have been noticeably digitally altered.

– Openly saying that he wants to take back the PCN blockchain by force – This is impossible, PXN Foundation has majority consensus.

– His new projects name is Peepcoin 2.0 (PP2) – BEWARE

– All Peepcoin 2.0/PP2 social media material should be treated as suspicious by everyone and reported to the channel admins of that particular group.

– Judging by the suspicious information (that has only just been removed after we questioned it) on the Peepcoin 2.0 website, he is attempting to scam community members once again.

The PCN – PXN swap will now be DELAYED to remove all chances that this individual can participate in the swap.

A patch for the latest wallet version will be released in the next few days blocking the oldest nodes from the PCN blockchain.

Spread the word far and wide, this community is smarter than he thinks.

Stay safe with your investments
